# Receiving assets

How to get a deposit address on Ledger Enterprise, and how to verify it on your device before sharing it.

**Role: Operators and Administrators.**

To receive funds you need the Account's deposit address. The address shown in the browser is displayed by software. Only the device display is read from the secure hardware.

## Open the receive window

From the Accounts list, use the **Receive** action on the Account's row. From the Account page, use the **Receive** action at the top.

The window shows the Account it belongs to (name, coin, ticker, network) and the full deposit address, with a recommendation to verify it on your device.

## Why verification matters

The address in your browser is displayed by software, and software can be compromised. An address is long enough that a substituted one looks entirely plausible. An attacker able to change what your screen shows can redirect every deposit you receive, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.

Your device displays the address from the secure hardware itself. Comparing the two is the only way to know the address you are about to circulate is genuinely yours.

> **Warning:** Verify on your device before sharing an address with a counterparty, and before saving it in your own systems. A deposit sent to an attacker's address is not recoverable.

## Verify the address

1. Start the verification.
2. If no device is connected, you are prompted to connect and unlock it. This is a prompt, not an error.
3. Follow the steps shown for your device.
4. **Compare the address on the device with the address on screen, character by character.** The address stays visible in the browser throughout, precisely so you can compare side by side. Check the beginning, the end, and a section in the middle.
5. Complete the review on the device.

The window then confirms the review is done, and the address and copy button remain available.

### Copying the address

The quick copy button becomes active once verification has started, and confirms when the address is on your clipboard.

You can always select the address text manually and copy it with your keyboard, whether or not you have verified. That is deliberate, so nobody is blocked, but it skips the protection this page exists for. Use it only where you have already verified the address for that Account.

### If you close during verification

You are asked to confirm, because closing cancels a security step in progress. You can dismiss the prompt and carry on, or confirm and close.

Reopening starts from the beginning: the verified state is not remembered. Verify again rather than assuming a previous check still stands.

## If something goes wrong

| The connection was lost               | Verification timed out, or the device was disconnected    | Check the connection and retry                                                                    |

> **Important:** A mismatch between device and browser is not a glitch. Stop, do not use the address, and contact support.
