# Data protection

Where to find Ledger Enterprise's privacy notice and the list of sub-processors, inside the product.

Ledger Enterprise publishes two data protection documents inside the product. They are the current versions published by Ledger, and they are the same for every Workspace.

## Where to find them

1. Select your user name in the side menu.
2. Select **Data protection**.

The page has two tabs. The **Sub-processors** tab shows the date it was last updated. The **Privacy notice** tab shows no date.

<table><thead><tr><th width="202.00390625">Tab</th><th>What it covers</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Privacy notice</strong></td><td>The analytics data that Ledger Enterprise collects: how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and how to contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO)</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Sub-processors</strong></td><td>The third parties that process data on Ledger's behalf</td></tr></tbody></table>

## The sub-processors list

The list is a table. Each row is one sub-processor.

<table><thead><tr><th width="204.48046875">Column</th><th>What it holds</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>ENTITY</td><td>The sub-processor's name</td></tr><tr><td>PURPOSE</td><td>What it is used for</td></tr><tr><td>LOCATION</td><td>Where it operates</td></tr><tr><td>TRANSFER</td><td>The basis for any transfer of data to it</td></tr></tbody></table>

Both documents are available to every role.

> **Note:** The documents are fetched when you open the tab. If a document fails to load, the tab says so and asks you to try again later. The tab has no retry control.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.enterprise.ledger.com/help-center-v2/reference/data-protection.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
