Sending creates a Request that follows your Account's governance.

Signing a message, calling a smart contract and deploying a smart contract are also Requests. Each one has its own Rule, separate from the Send Rules.

Receiving needs no approval on most networks. Verify the deposit address on your Ledger device before you share it. See Receiving assets.

Canton is the exception. An incoming Canton transfer arrives as a proposal that you must accept. Accepting is a Request under the Account's Receive Rule. A Canton Account can also enable automatic approval of incoming Canton Coin transfers for 90 days. Enabling it is a Request under the same Receive Rule. See Canton (CC).
